CUL 227 - Theme Cakes & Holiday Desserts

Course Description

This course is designed for students who wish to expand their creative talents in the area of cake decorating. Students will learn the different techniques to produce special occasion and holiday cakes as well as design and coloring while practicing environmental stewardship and zero or reduced waste initiatives. Multiple styles of buttercream and decorations will be used for creating cakes for special clients, and special occasions. Fundamental techniques for creating specific products without the use of eggs and dairy are explored. Group 2 course.
