Course Description

Digital Audio II is the continuation of AUD 120, Digital Audio I. This course will introduce students to Pro Tools (Avid), the industry-leader digital audio software and hardware. Students can achieve Pro Tools User-Level Certification upon the successful completion of both the midterm and final exams. Group 2 course.

Required Prerequisites

AUD 120 with a grade of 2.0 or higher.

Course Learning Outcomes

Knowledge:

• Demonstrate basic facility using Pro Tools software.
• Demonstrate basic recording and editing techniques using Pro Tools.
• Achieve Avid Pro Tools Level I - User Certification.

• Compare and Contrast various editing and processing techniques in industry-standard DAW's.

• Create basic notation files using various DAW's.
