Course Description

In this course, the student will gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to receive endorsement for the FAA Practical Test. Students will learn in a Piper Super Cub on floats as they demonstrate maneuvers and landings. Course requires 5 flight hours, 1.2 hours of pre/post, and 1 hour of ground instruction. Hourly rates effective March 2022 are $59/hour for ground instruction and $224/hour for the aircraft and flight instructor. Group 2 course.

AVF 234 with a 2.0 or better.

Knowledge:

• Per the FAA Airmen Certification Standards (ACS), explain Seaplane Areas of Operation during the ground portion of the practical test in accordance with ACS requirements.

Application:

• Per the FAA Airmen Certification Standards (ACS), demonstrate competencies of Seaplane Areas of Operation during the ground and flight portion of the practical test in accordance with ACS requirements.

Integration:

• Per the FAA Airmen Certification Standards (ACS), demonstrate problem solving skills when mitigating risks encompassing personal minimums and maintaining fitness to fly during the ground and flight portion of the practical test in accordance with ACS requirements.
• Incorporate these personal habits into all future flights.

• Per the FAA Airmen Certification Standards (ACS), evaluate their fitness to fly, and illustrate sound decision making and judgment.
