Course Description

This course identifies and develops leadership characteristics specifically applicable to professional pilots. This course is designed to teach students how to combine strong technical knowledge, aeronautical decision-making and ethics to be a successful leader and contributor in the aviation industry. Group 2 course.

Course Learning Outcomes

Knowledge:
  • Describe the fundamental elements of leadership relating to their role as pilots.

  • Describe the effects technical knowledge, decision-making and ethics have on the safe operation of aircraft.

  • Incorporate effective leadership principles with real world scenarios.

  • Recognize how their communication skills, technical knowledge and personal conduct affect the safety of flight.
