There is a high demand for qualified technicians in the heating and cooling industry. HVAC/R technicians install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Because of continuing demand, HVAC/R technicians can usually find employment with good beginning salaries. The curriculum is designed by the industry and aligned with national competency standards.
